ConnectingDNA is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, after ten months of checks on how it guards DNA data.
SINGAPORE, 7 April 2026. ConnectingDNA has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management. The award follows ten months of work and independent checks on the company’s technology and its processes, from how DNA reports are stored to who inside the company can see what.
When the DNA-Wellness Marketplace opened in beta in September 2025, the company said it was working towards the certification. It now holds it.
What is ISO 27001?
ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for an information security management system: the policies, controls and routines an organisation runs to keep the information it holds confidential, intact and available. Certification means an independent auditor has examined that system against the standard and found it in place and working.
A DNA report is the most personal data a person will ever share. That is the standard the company set out to be measured against.
Respect for your data
ConnectingDNA collects only what a service needs, does not sell user data, and keeps DNA data encrypted in storage and in transit. What it collects, why, and how it is kept are set out in the company’s privacy policy.
For the vendors and Partners on the marketplace, the certificate answers a question their own customers put to them: whether the platform their programmes run on is secure.
Does the certificate expire?
Yes. An ISO 27001 certificate runs for three years, with a surveillance audit each year in between and a full recertification audit at the end. The company’s security system is therefore checked from outside every year.
The company’s post announcing the award closed with a line meant for every user: “Your blueprint is safe with us.”
