ConnectingDNA has been accepted into a Google Cloud startup programme, with US$25,000 in credits behind its Bio-Profile AI.
SINGAPORE, 12 January 2026. ConnectingDNA has been accepted into a Google Cloud startup programme run by Google Cloud’s Startup Growth team for Asia Pacific. The programme gives the company US$25,000 in Google Cloud credits, valid for two years, a named point of contact at Google Cloud, and access to its cloud engineers.
It is the third major technology programme behind the company’s AI work, after Microsoft for Startups in 2024 and the Meta Llama initiative in 2025.
Google’s start-up record
Since 2018, Google says, its start-up programmes have helped more than 200 early-stage start-ups in Southeast Asia, which went on to raise US$6.6 billion and create 11,300 jobs.
“AI startups have told us that the jump from product-market fit to international expansion is their hardest leap.”
Ben King, Managing Director, Google Singapore
Built in Singapore
Singapore has been Google’s Asia Pacific headquarters since 2007, and Google has put US$5 billion into four data centres and cloud regions in the country, according to the Economic Development Board. For a Singapore company holding genetic data, that means servers in the same country, under the same laws.
What do the credits fund?
The credits pay for the cloud computing behind Bio-Profile AI: the processing that reads an uploaded DNA report, the models that explain the traits it contains in everyday language, and the infrastructure that answers a user’s questions against that data. Bio-Profile AI is grounded in the user’s genome, so every answer is constrained by the traits and coverage in the report.
Why build on Google Cloud?
ConnectingDNA evaluates cloud and AI providers against the standard it applies to models: clarity of output, reliability, speed and cost for the part of the Bio-Profile each one serves. Google Cloud brings a further set of infrastructure and AI models to that evaluation.
For a team of ConnectingDNA’s size, time with cloud engineers matters as much as the credits.
