ConnectingDNA was selected for Meta’s Llama Incubator Program in Singapore as it evaluates AI models for the DNA-Wellness experience.
SINGAPORE, 22 April 2025. ConnectingDNA has been selected for Meta’s Llama Incubator Program in Singapore, in its start-up track. The programme is the first of its kind Meta has run in Asia Pacific, and it is backed by seven agencies of the Singapore Government.
What is the Llama Incubator?
Meta’s Llama Incubator Program is a six-month programme for start-ups, SMEs and public agencies in Singapore, built around Llama, Meta’s open-source AI model. Announced in February 2025 and launched on 13 March 2025, it gave a hundred organisations access to Llama and took forty of them into incubation from April to October 2025, with technical and business mentorship, investor access and AI safety training, and closed with a Demo Day.
The final cohort was chosen from more than a hundred applications, according to e27, which runs the programme with Meta.
Who is behind it
Meta runs the programme with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, IMDA, GovTech, Digital Industry Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, AI Singapore and SGInnovate, under the National AI Strategy 2.0. e27 and Deloitte are its programme partners, and Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, spoke at its launch.

Why test multiple AI models?
Different AI models can perform differently on explanation, reasoning, response speed, consistency and operating cost. Testing more than one model helps ConnectingDNA choose the right capability for each part of the Bio-Profile experience. The objective is a clearer interface for genetic information, with every answer constrained by the traits and coverage available in the user’s report.
Six months with Meta’s engineers is a chance to test an open-source model against the same standard as the others, on the questions users put to their own DNA reports.
